El Dorado Ranch in San Felipe Hosts Charity Event.
The Fifth Annual El Dorado Ranch Charity Golf Classic will be held October 23-25, 2009, at Las Caras oceanfront golf course, part of the 35,000-acre El Dorado Ranch vacation and retirement resort development in San Felipe, Baja California. Conducted by the Universal Golf Foundation, a nonprofit organization created to support a variety of important regional causes, the event will benefit the San Felipe Educational Scholarship Foundation, which aims to enhance and extend educational opportunities for all children, at all levels of learning, in San Felipe.
The Golf Classic is offering a limited number of sponsorships, and prize and in-kind contributions are also welcomed. Sponsors will receive player spots in the tournament, and a variety of other benefits – including invitations to the Welcome Fiesta -- dependent upon level of sponsorship.
The entry fee for individual golfers is $150 for those registering before October 1, 2009, and $175 if registering after that date. The fee includes one practice round (golf car NOT included in the practice round) at no charge between October 10th – 23rd, 2009 (reservation required); tournament play; tournament tee prizes; hole-in-one prizes; hole contests; dinner and awards presentation and live entertainment. The cost for extra dinner guests is $40.
Sponsors and players, alike, will enjoy the spectacular Las Caras course that ribbons through dunes and desert landscape. Each hole on the course features a life-sized bronze statue depicting a Mexican luminary: How might it feel to have Diego Rivera or Lorena Ochoa watching you hit your drive?
